Golden Globe Award – The Best Award in Culture
The Golden Globe Awards are one of the most prestigious awards in the world entertainment. This award is annually presented by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA), to recognize outstanding achievements in the entertainment industry, both domestic and foreign, and focus on broad public attention to the best in film and television. The formal ceremony and dinner at which the award is given an important component of the film industry awards season each year culminating with the Academy Awards.
The first Golden Globe Awards were held in January 1944 to the 20th Century Fox Studios in Los Angeles. The 66th Golden Globe Awards, honoring the best in film and television for 2008, were on 11 January 2009 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California, where they have been presented annually since 1961. These awards, more than 150 countries will broadcast worldwide, generally regarded as the third most-watched awards show each year, only behind the Oscars and the Grammy Awards. Unlike the Oscars, the Golden Globe Awards did not have a regular host, it is a different presenter each year, which makes the ceremony to start the program
